Jubilee Farms Story / Mission
Jubilee Farms is where broken hearts heal, where trauma loses its bite, and visitors leave with a restful heart. Our land provides an atmosphere of freedom, freedom from the difficulties of life. We named our property Jubilee Farms with great purpose.
The word “jubilee” comes from the Hebrew word Yobel meaning “ram’s horn’’ for the sounding of the ram’s horn signaling the jubilee’s beginning, a celebration every 50 years. Another related Hebrew word is Deror, meaning “release, liberty.’’ There were three main components to this significant celebration. First, eat what grows naturally and not harvest the land as customary. This allowed the people and the land to enjoy their release and create a space to reflect. Second, all slaves were to be set free. Bondage had no place in the celebratory Year of Jubilee. Third, the land was returned to its original owner. From a physical sense, this provided redemption to return what was rightfully taken or reluctantly sold. This year provided hope and redemptions for all walks of life. The Year of Jubilee was a reset, something to benefit all.
